GlitzGalaJoin the Hannibal Regional Hospital Auxiliary at the Hannibal Arts Council for the Glitz Gala Jewelry Auction, on October 2, 2014.  The Glitz Gala, sponsored by Kristy Trevathan of Prestige Realty, benefits the Hannibal Regional Hospital Auxiliary.

Tickets are required for the evening and space is limited, so be sure to get your ticket today!  Tickets are $15 each and may be purchased by contacting Alicia Rollins at 573-248-5272. Your ticket includes appetizers, wine, a chance to win a weekend get away and the opportunity to bid on beautiful jewelry pieces.Doors open at 5:00 pm and the live auction begins at 6:00 pm.  Attendees will have the opportunity to view each jewelry item up for auction before the bidding begins.

HRH Auxiliary Helping the Community

Each year the  Auxiliary celebrates the amazing volunteers that contribute over 27,000 hours of service by hosting a fun evening for them.  This year as part of that event the  Auxiliary  collected food items for the local Buddy Pack program  from the volunteers and team members at Hannibal Regional Healthcare System.  Loretta Bringer, Chairperson for the Hannibal Regional Hospital Auxiliary Recruitment and Retention committee said “ Children are a community’s biggest asset and anything we can do to support them is a worthy cause.”

Hannibal Regional Hospital Auxiliary Recognizes Excellence

IV-CoverHannibal Regional Hospital’s Auxiliary announced Becky Wilt as Volunteer of the Year and Mary Frances Quinlin received a President’s Call to Service Award at their Service Awards luncheon on April 25, 2014 at the Quality Inn.

Ms. Wilt  volunteered more than 900  hours in 2013 and has served over 4,380  lifetime hours.  Ms. Wilt was presented this award in honor of her dedicated service to the Auxiliary and patients at Hannibal Regional Healthcare System.  Ms. Wilt serves in several areas including the reception desk, and also serves as  Waiting Room Chairperson, and is on the Auxiliary Board of Directors.   Ms. Wilt goes above and beyond in her volunteer role serving patients and their families in many ways, including staying long hours in the surgery waiting room to be with families waiting on their loved one.

HRH Auxiliary Warms Hearts

Red-ScarvesThe HRH Auxiliary Knitting Committee is always busy making items for patients to bring them comfort during their healthcare journey. The knitting committee make items such as extra soft washcloths and lap blankets for cancer patients, baby blankets and hats, scarves for Cardiac Rehab patients, and much more.

The Knitting Committee makes red scarves to give Cardiac Rehab patients upon completion of their program. The scarves are a gesture from the Auxiliary to let the patients know they are thinking of them and wish them the best as they continue to heal.

HRH Auxiliary Demonstrates Compassionate Giving

December 16, 2013 was a very special day for Hannibal Regional Healthcare System as the Hannibal Regional Hospital Auxiliary presented HRHS with a check in the amount of $83,267.74. A major portion of these funds were used to remodel the reception desk inside the main entrance of Hannibal Regional Hospital and to help fund the Healthy Way Fitness Trail on the hospital’s campus. Other funds were used to purchase a Sit to Stand Lift for patients and a hospital grade recliner for the Sleep Lab. Other projects funded by the Auxiliary include scholarships for HRHS team members, memory boxes, infant car beds, coloring books, puppets, and much more.

HRH-Rollins Alicia Rollins, Director of Volunteer Services has been awarded the credential, “Certified Administrator of Volunteer Services,” by the Council for Certification in Volunteer Administration. The Certified Administrator of Volunteer Services (CAVS) is a national credential that distinguishes an individual as being among the elite in the field of volunteer management in healthcare.
