MASH Camp Visits Hannibal Regional

The Marion County MASH Camp is a summer day camp for students entering 6th, 7th, or 8th grade and who have an interest in exploring healthcare careers. Bike Across Missouri Makes a Stop at Shelbina Family Practice

Shelbina Family Practice provided a First Aid station on June 16th, for the Bike Across Missouri event.  They had roughly 12 bikers stop in who needed medical attention for a bee sting, ice for a knee, blood pressure check, etc.  The “bee sting” patient indicated Shelbina Family Practice was the only First Aid station they had seen during the week-long race. Lifesaving Equipment Donated to Shelby County

Hannibal Regional Healthcare System is pleased to offer life-saving equipment to Shelby County through the support of an anonymous local donor.  Hannibal Regional Hospital Foundation worked with a local private foundation which offered a donation to purchase AED (Automated External Defibrillators) and locate them in Shelbina, Clarence, and Shelbyville.  The donor selected the Senior Nutrition Centers in Clarence and Shelbina, as well as the County Courthouse in Shelbyville to house the AEDs.  These lifesaving devices are critical in quickly treating and saving lives of individuals who experience a cardiac event.

Mark Twain Elementary Raises Funds for the James E. Cary Cancer Center

Mark Twain Elementary, in Hannibal Missouri, recently raised funds for the James E. Cary Cancer Center through their monthly fundraiser – Mark Twain Gives Back.  The PTO and students raised $125 for the Hannibal Regional Hospital Foundation’s Believe Campaign which is raising funds for a new linear accelerator at the James E. HRHS to Host Women’s Health Fair

healthfairIn honor of National Women’s Health Week, HRHS will be hosting a Women’s Health Fair on May 13th from 1:00 pm – 7:00 pm.  During this time women from the community are encouraged to get their mammogram and visit one of the many educational booths at the Health Fair.  Pre-registration for the mammogram is required.

The Health Fair will be in the HRH Mall area and will have information on Heart Care Services, Diabetes, Skin Care, Stress Management, Healthy Eating, and much more!  Attendees can also get their blood pressure checked and learn about the Women of Wellness program.
