Chris Akright, who works with Hannibal Regional in Security, has been nominated for a Golden Star. A team member was coming back from break in the morning and saw that there was a very upset little boy at the registration desk. His mom was trying to check in and his brother was trying to calm him down from crying when Chris came over, squatted down to his height and talked to him, and in doing so was able to get the little boy to stop crying. Chris then helped take the family to the waiting area so that the boy wouldn’t get upset again. “Just to watch him stop and take the time to calm the upset child was awesome; not to mention he is always smiling and always makes sure to say ‘Hi’ in passing. I never miss a chance to smile when I meet Chris; his genuine happiness is contagious.” What a great example of our Spirit of Excellence standard 1 – Positive First Impression! He is a great asset to our team!
