Registration is open, the logo is chosen and plans are well under way for the 24th Annual Hannibal Cannibal. This year’s race will be Saturday, July 6th and will benefit the Building BETTER Tomorrows Campaign.
As in past, team members may register at a discounted price of $15 through July 2nd. Those wishing to receive the discounted price must be completed on a Team Member Registration form. The discount is not available online. Those who pre-register will receive their race shirt in time to wear them on Fridays in June. After July 2nd, the price to register will go to $35. Payroll deduction is available for totals of $25 or more.
Again this year you will be able to count your participation in the Hannibal Cannibal as one of three races for an Alternative Activity to receive a retro payment of the wellness incentive. In order for it to count, you must register as a runner (don’t worry, you can still walk) and receive a time chip race bib that will track your completion of the event. Be sure to use the Team Member Registration Form and mark the Wellness Program box.
Back by popular demand, local band Steppin’ Back will be performing at the starting area of the race from 6:30 am to 8:30 am and will perform the National Anthem. They have been great addition last two years and get the crowd pumped up before the race. As always, our infamous King Ooga Booga will be trying to capture a little snack at the top of Lover’s Leap. Watch out, it might just be you!
