Each year Hannibal Regional Auxiliary awards scholarships to team members of Hannibal Regional Healthcare System. The educational awards are worth $500 per semester and team members are eligible to receive up to a total of $2,000. Scholarships are available for team members to broaden their knowledge in the healthcare field. The Auxiliary Scholarship Committee reviews the applicants and this year gave consideration to 9 candidates. Recipients of scholarships in 2016 are Aaron Boone, Katrinka Coons, Kristin Pipkin and Joyce Mann.

Monies for the scholarships are raised through a variety of auxiliary fund raisers, such as bake sales, soup and salad luncheons, jewelry sales and more. Although not all applicants receive scholarships, they are able to reapply each year. Additionally, through the generous support of the Healthcare Service Group Charitable Foundation, a matching scholarship grant will assist in increasing the level of scholarship money made available to each recipient.

Members of the Hannibal Regional Auxiliary Scholarship Committee, are Claudia Lennon, Chairperson; Marcia Freeman, Carolyn McCruden, Donna Zumwalt, Judy Haught and Linda Clark. Karen Sutor, President of Hannibal Regional Auxiliary, serves as an Ex-officio member along with Brent Allen, Human Resources and Alicia Rollins, Director-Volunteer Services.
