Preventing hospital-acquired pressure injuries is definitely one of the Med-Surg team’s highest priorities and they’ve worked diligently to those injuries in their department. Bobi Mathews is one of their champions who drives this effort. The turn team is highly effective and they work very hard to make sure patients who are immobile are turned appropriately and all preventative interventions are implemented for patients who are at high risk for skin breakdown. Congratulations to the entire Medical Surgical team and their Director Trista Long for achieving over 100 days without a hospital-acquired pressure injury! The team was presented with cupcakes from the Leadership team as appreciation for this excellent work.
