Third Annual Glitz Gala Jewelry Auction is a Success

glitz-gala-1Hannibal Regional Auxiliary hosted the third annual Glitz Gala Jewelry Auction at the Hannibal Arts Council on October 6, 2016.  The Glitz Gala, officially sponsored by Century 21 Broughton Team, raised funds to support Hannibal Regional Auxiliary.

 Jim Quinlin of Quinlin Auction Services led the live auction and the emcee for the evening was Rajah Maples from KHQA.  Guests were treated to appetizers from Fiddlestiks and wine from Cave Hollow Winery.  Attendees bid on 34 exquisite jewelry pieces which were donated by various community members and a three piece designer collection complements of Ava Goldworks.  Guests also had the opportunity to bid on silent auction pieces donated by various community members and were entered into a raffle to win one of seven different prizes.  The raffle prizes were: a St. Louis Cardinals Dooney and Bourke purse compliments of Dillards; Clarisonic Facial Brush compliments of glitz-gala-3Dillards; a bracelet compliments of the Native American Trading Company; travel gift basket compliments of Collette Vacations; two 60-minute massages compliments of Kimberly Kircher; pedicure gift card compliments of the Powder Room; and a four-piece Vera Bradley cosmetic bag set compliments of Laurie’s Shoes.

“The Auxiliary’s accomplishments are a reflection of teamwork and the community’s generosity and support is essential to our success,” notes Alicia Rollins, Director Volunteer Services.  “The community’s continued participation is what enables us to keep enriching lives and making our community better.”    The proceeds from the Glitz Gala will help the Auxiliary fulfill their pledge to the linear accelerator portion of Hannibal Regional Foundation’s Believe Campaign.  This equipment has brought new technologies to the community and offers state-of-the-art cancer treatments and procedures at the James E. Cary Cancer Center.

Hannibal Regional Auxiliary was formed in 1993 to help patients, families and visitors in a variety of ways and contribute to the community.  Today, with more than 260 members, the Auxiliary donates approximately 25,000 hours of service each year.  The Auxiliary volunteers in several areas including the Gift Shop, Cancer Center, Children’s Center, reception desk, waiting rooms and more.  For more information contact Alicia Rollins at 573-248-5272 or visit hrhonline.org.
